What is the best waterproof flooring type for multi-level garages?
Typically, on construction plans, a waterproofing sheet membrane placed in between the Spancrete and the concrete poured on top of it is often recommended. While this is sufficient for waterproofing, the concrete itself is still not protected from typical wear and tear from heavy traffic and turning vehicle tires. Resinous, elastomeric coatings systems can be used, and they remain flexible even after curing. This proves to be the best waterproof flooring that also gives concrete protection. For heavy traffic areas like drive lanes, a thicker, more durable systems are used to hold up to the amount of traffic seen in those areas. For the parking stalls installing a less expensive, waterproof system works well. The two areas are blended seamlessly together making it visually difficult to distinguish where one system begins and the other ends.
