Reflctions from IREM MN president Angela Samargia:
Thank you Matt Norman for an uplifting IREM Program, How Property Managers Can Emerge Stronger and Healthier from Adversity. I enjoyed hearing from and sharing with other Property Managers our past patterns of negativity, and how weovercame them.
The main takeaways I will apply today include the red and green leaves analogy sports psychologists use: stay focused on the green leaves, and let the red leaves flow away, downstream; or in the Property Management, world stay focused on the green leaves, the positive aspects of our jobs and people, remind our team mates, tenants and clients of the positives in our buildings and processes, how we add value, stay focused on those green leaves, while flush all the red leaves down the toilet, flush the negativity, bad attitudes, down with the chiller water, never to be seen again.
Finally, manage buildings and your life with a growth mindset. IREM literally promotes achieving this value, providing ample educational offerings, and connecting vendors with Property Managers whom educate Property Managers when needed, growing their mind to better perform their job.
