Meet Your Executive Council - Audrey Janzen, CPM

Audrey Janzen has been involved with IREM since the start of her property management career in 2008. She credits Ed Chan for being very supportive in directing her involvement with the chapter.🤝 

Audrey is the Operations Director at Excelsior Group and supports their Commercial Property Managers in the day to day operations of their portfolios and laying the foundation for future department growth.⁠⠀

What benefits has your IREM membership provided you?⁠⠀

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day? Why? ⁠⠀
My kids, consider it a quality check on myself as parent, but I often wonder how they perceive my/our family’s chaotic schedule. As a mom and a professional, I often wrestle with the wanting to be in multiple places at once and feeling like I’m running from one thing to then next. I find myself stressing that I’m not giving them the time they need and wonder if it’s just my perception or if they feel this way too. Also who wouldn’t want to play with Grandma and Grandpa and watch tv all day 😊⁠⠀

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?⁠⠀
Married my painting vendor 😉 Yes as a dedicated IREM member, I found love within our membership and married Brett Janzen, owner of TruNorth Painting three years ago. What can I say, he brings tons of color to my life with his boisterous, Hawaiian shirt-wearing mentality. 🖌️

⁠If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go? Why? ⁠⠀
I’ve always been fascinated by ancient history and would love to visit Egypt or anywhere else where I could participate in an archeological dig. I was such a nerd as a kid, that if you asked me “What do you want to be when you grow up”, I would say an Egyptologist or archeologist. 📙
